Construction of a logistics and distribution centre in Požega.
Total building area: 6100 m2 (65,660 sq ft).
Design Task
Development of designs for a building used to receive, refrigerate, and subsequently is tribute fruits and vegetables with a 600 kW photovoltaic power station.
Challenges
The building must be environmentally neutral within the meaning of power consumption as well as the method of storage of fruits and vegetables. ULO technology is intended for its cooling, using CO2 gas. Due to potential variation in annual yields, sub-zero, above-zero, and ULO chambers have been designed. Packaging technology had to be flexible, adapted to market requirements. Within the building, particular care was paid to the route fruits and vegetables follow from receipt to storage and dispatch.
Project Progress
Commenced in August 2022.
Preliminary, and general designs have been developed along with the fire protection study, and the construction permit was obtained.
